CHAPTER I — THE AWAKENING

Coffee for
the Age of Reason.

In 1776, as revolutions brewed across continents, a small group of philosophers, writers, and radicals gathered in candlelit cafés to argue ideas over dark, aromatic cups of coffee. From these salons emerged the modern world.

Enlightenment Era Blends was founded to honor that tradition. Every roast is a dialogue between past and present — a pursuit of flavor as rigorous as any treatise by Voltaire, Rousseau, or Kant.

We source exceptional beans and roast them with precision and irreverence. The result is coffee that does more than wake you up. It makes you think.

SINGLE ORIGIN & CURATED BLENDS
Cozy 18th century salon with antique books, quills, and steaming cups of coffee
"I have only ever had one great passion: coffee."
— VOLTAIRE (ATTRIBUTED)
THE ENLIGHTENMENT METHOD

Reason in every roast.
Wit in every sip.

We roast with the same intellectual rigor the philosophes brought to their writings. Each blend is named for a thinker whose ideas challenged the world — and each cup is meant to do the same.
CRITIQUE EVERY BEAN

We cup relentlessly. Only lots that survive the scrutiny of our master roasters make it into a bag.

QUESTION CONVENTION

Light roasts that sing. Dark roasts with soul. We reject dogma in favor of what actually tastes transcendent.

SPREAD THE LIGHT

We believe great coffee, like great ideas, should be shared. Every order includes a short essay from the Enlightenment archive.
